We are a couple guys living and working in South Florida. You're going to see a heavy influence from the breweries and beers produced in this strange place we call home. As we travel about the country and the world we will work really hard to bring you the best of those places as well. Cheers!

I'm an absolute beer snob, there I said it. However, I wouldn't call myself a beer geek or nerd. I don't enjoy beverages that are more akin to water than beer, thus the snob in me that just won't drink the average "beer" advertised during that big football game on a certain Sunday in February. But my palate can't identify the 7 different types of hops used in a beer nor specifically pick out each of the 23 uber-subtle flavors that make up the uniqueness of blah, blah, blah.
What qualifies me to write about beer? I've consumed a LOT of it. Some I liked and some I didn't. That's about it, really. At last count, I've had 412 different beers at The Brass Tap and Rob has just got me started with Untappd so we'll see how that goes.
Professionally, I'm in IT. Specifically cloud and enterprise computing. That makes me a beer geek, a cloud and security geek, and I'm sure a couple other kinds of geek. I keep this site up and running. What I'm trying to say is, if something on the site doesn't work.... Blame Rob!
Lastly, yes, I stole all of Rob's hair. All. Of. It. Well, at least from the top of his head. I'll just stop talking now...

Beer is my thing. I enjoy it. I enjoy the wide variety of flavors, tastes, and smells that go with it. I'm especially fond of dark beers like stouts and porters. My new found love is in Russian Imperial Stouts. Up there with the Russian Imperials is the Bourbon Barrel Aged variety... which you don't find enough of these days. There are a few awesome breweries that make a good bourbon barrel aged beer, but certainly not enough.
What qualifies me to have a beer blog? I'm not sure I am qualified...but I have had my fair share. I've reached over 100 beers at World of Beer (and that's with them closing their nearby locations) and, as of November of 2017, I reached 300 unique beers on Untappd. On that note, I've had over 270 different beers from a brewery in the US and 80 different beers with the style of Porter or Stout. Yes....I like it dark. My beer, you sicko.
Oh...and Lane can have the hair...his head probably needs it!
